18/01/02 The Prodigy have been playing their first BDO show yesterday night in Auckland, New Zealand. I have just spoken to Redblade at IRC #Prodigy. He told me that Prodigy who were supposed to be the last band that night played already second last, because the crowd went mad when 'System Of A Down' rocked the stage and someone broke his legs during their show. When Liam entered the stage the crowd started screaming. Liam played the military intro that we heard at the European shows already and then Maxim and Keith entered the stage followed by Keiron Pepper and Jim Davies. The show was opened by 'Their Law' which was followed by 'Breathe' and 'Smack My Bitch Up'. They also played 'Poison followed by 'Firestarter' and ended the show with 'Fuel My Fire'. This time the fans couldn't hear any tracks from the first album 'Experience'. Redblade said, that they also played two new songs which I believe to be 'Nuclear' and 'Trigger' the songs we know from the shows in Europe. Their outfit was still the same (the military stile) so it seems as they are going to stick to that outfit. But something about the merchandise has changed, there were some new shirts available for the fans. The shirts contained the supposed working title of the forthcoming album 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned'. That may mean that this title is going to be the album title! Redblade told me to write a review about the gig, which I am going to put on this page, there might even be some pictures. Check back soon!
